Nespresso Vertuo Next vs Nespresso Vertuo Pop
The Vertuo Pop at $100 is the cheaper, more compact Vertuo and the right pick for small kitchens that don't need the largest cup sizes or Wi-Fi. The Vertuo Next at $110 adds a much larger water tank, the 18oz Carafe pod size, and Wi-Fi for a small premium. Both make identical coffee, so choose on tank size and footprint.

The Vertuo Pop ($100) and Vertuo Next ($110) use the same Vertuo centrifusion system and make functionally identical coffee, so the $10 gap is purely about format and convenience, not cup quality.
The Pop is the compact, colorful budget Vertuo. Its 0.75L tank (on the US Pop+), five cup sizes up to the 12oz Alto XL, and small footprint make it ideal for dorms, apartments, and tight counters. It heats in about 30 seconds and runs on one button. What it lacks is the Next's larger tank and the 18oz Carafe pod size, plus it's Bluetooth-only with no Wi-Fi.
The Next is slightly larger and adds those exact things: a bigger tank so you refill less often, support for the largest 18oz Carafe pod for big mugs and small carafes, and Wi-Fi connectivity. For a household that brews multiple large cups a day, the bigger tank alone can justify the small premium.
Both machines share the same downsides inherent to Vertuo: proprietary barcode-locked pods with no third-party options, ongoing pod cost around $0.95-$1.50 each, and no milk frother in the box. Buy the Pop if you want the smallest, cheapest Vertuo and don't need huge cups. Buy the Next if you want the larger tank and Carafe-size capability and don't mind the extra $10 and slightly bigger footprint.
